Most fonts on this page are available by default on most browsers.
They are not the prettiest fonts on the web but, if you design a page with
these fonts - there's a very good chance your surfer will see much the same
as you designed.
All fonts are displayed here at 10pt.

Courier New is as about as standard (proportional) as they come.
You may have noticed that I have added whitespace between each of
the special characters. They exist in the example fonts above but they are compressed
using most other font faces. With Courier New, all characters are the same width,
including the space character. This can be pretty handy at times.
If you look at the alphabet examples
you'll see how the lines are the same length regardless of capitalisation or italics.
